The Accelerated Dance Program at Houston Dance Works is designed for dedicated dancers ready to train at a higher level. Beginning at age 6, dancers may audition each June for the chance to join our award-winning teams. Members receive intensive training across ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and more — led by specialized instructors who bring out both technical excellence and personal growth.
Accelerated dancers compete at regional competitions, are invited to perform on national stages, and consistently bring home top awards. In 2023, 2024, and 2025, HDW earned national champion titles, proving that our dancers can succeed at the highest level while staying true to our supportive culture.
Beyond the competition floor, our dancers have trained in New York City with Broadway performers, at the Alvin Ailey Extension, and even performed at the Statue of Liberty. These experiences give our students a taste of the professional dance world while building memories and confidence that last a lifetime.

Hip-Hop Crew
The HDW Hip-Hop Crew is a competitive team known for dynamic, high-energy performances. Crew members train in both technique and rehearsal classes and perform at two competitions each season. Admission requires at least two years of hip-hop experience and a successful audition, ensuring that every member is prepared to perform at an elevated level.
Pre-Accelerated Program
Pre-Accelerated is the perfect introduction for dancers curious about the team experience. No audition is required — just commitment and enthusiasm. Dancers get a taste of Accelerated training, attend one convention each year, and begin developing the discipline, teamwork, and artistry that define our program.
